Our Religious Education is an afterschool and evening program for Public School children of registered families to receive the mandated eight years of Religious Education.
The program currently has 600 children, grades one through high school from about 10 North & West Shore public schools. These children come once a week for Religious Instruction. We also provide specialized instruction for Special Needs children.
Over forty volunteer catechists, (mainly parents) teach the children. Parents assist in the office, halls and substitute teaching. We also have high school students from the TCM (Teaching the Christian Message) programs at Moore Catholic High Schools. High school students from St. Joseph by the Sea, also assist in the classroom and in the office.
Under the direction of the Moderator and Pastor, Rev. John Wroblweski, the Religious Education office is run by Ms. Diane Becker, Coordinator of Religious Education
